Vista® AR and Legacy® Scotchgard™
Malarkey is our preferred manufacturer for shingles — and for good reason. Unlike traditional asphalt shingles, Malarkey shingles are made of rubberized asphalt for superior all-weather resilience, upcycled rubber and plastics to reduce landfill waste, and smog-reducing granules that help clean the air. This advanced technology makes the shingles more flexible, durable, highly resistant to hail damage, and better for the environment.
Changing temperatures can often cause cracking in our harsher climate. Malarkey's rubberized, polymer modified construction is resistant to damage from these temperature swings, which can lead to a longer life. Malarkey's also offers the best warranties in the industry.
We primarily install two Malarkey shingle lines: Vista® AR and Legacy® AR. Both carry a Class 4 hail impact rating (the highest rating possible) and granuels that help reduce algae streaks, which often qualifies homeowners for insurance discounts. While they are slightly more expensive than standard asphalt shingles, the long-term durability and protection make them a great value.

Landmark® and Landmark Pro®
Certainteed offers the widest array of colors in the industry, which can be appealing for homeowners focused on aesthetics. The Landmark and Landmark Pro are dual-layer fiberglass shingle with fire resistance. Landmark Pro is heavier and has better warranty than the Landmark. Both are only Class 3 impact rated, meaning they do not qualify for a homeowners insurance discount for our hail-prone area.
Duration®
If you want excellent value without compromising on performance, Duration strikes a strong balance. The SureNail® technology provides superior wind resistance; the color options and texture give great curb appeal; and adaquate algae-resistance. While premium lines like Malarkey and Landmark PRO offers better hail protection, Duration delivers many of the same core features at a lower cost.
Timberline HDZ®
GAF Timberline shingles are a great choice because they offer a strong combination of curb appeal, performance, and warranty value. With their high-definition color blends and enhanced shadow effects, these shingles give you the authentic wood-shake look without the expense. Their wind, fire, and algea resistance provide solid protection. For many homeowners, this makes Timberline a "middle ground" that hits strong performance without the premium cost of top-line options.
