We based this custom Chippewa Falls home off of one of our standard plans. We installed many windows to let in plenty of natural light, and modern black, white, and gray colors create a modern farmhouse feel inside and out.
A recessed entryway creates the perfect niche for the homeowner to place seasonal decorations and for packages to be protected from the weather. Just inside the door, we installed a beautiful custom storage solution featuring two coat hanging areas and six cubbies for easy shoe and outerwear storage near the door.
The kitchen features white cabinetry with simple, angular black hardware. A black farmhouse sink has a custom cutting board and draining stations that fit over it for easy meal prepping. We installed a black wood-like stove vent hood to remove odors, steam, and smoke and improve air quality while cooking. A unique black-and-white marbled tile backsplash between the upper and lower cabinets serves as a focal point of this spacious room.
We created a custom microwave inset so the appliances fits in with the rest of the kitchen, and the homeowners selected a black dishwasher, stove, and fridge to carry on this colorway. Our team worked with the homeowners to make a long kitchen island featuring the same light marbled countertop as the rest of the room. This feature adds storage and food prep space, as well as a convenient place for eating together.
We are very happy with the way the living room fireplace looks with the slate-gray and white-striped tiles surrounding the electric fireplace. These models don’t require wood or chimney cleaning. Plus, this specific fireplace has faux wood that looks like driftwood - a beautiful, natural feature that adds to the living space. The fireplace creates a coziness and ambiance for the eating room in this open-concept area.
The living room includes a stairway to the basement. A cable railing adds a safety element without limiting stairway light or disrupting the flow of the first floor. The dining area - located next to the kitchen in the open-concept space - hosts two large windows on adjacent walls offering views of the surrounding forest.
The large master bathroom features a custom tiled shower with a gorgeous glass door. A linen cabinet improves storage, and the double vanity hosts two sinks plus an additional cabinet and drawer between the sinks. We recommend double vanities where space allows because it makes getting ready for the day and prepping for bed easy and stress-free!
These homeowners prioritized outside space and asked for a covered back patio. We installed concrete to host a table, chairs, and a grill for enjoying beautiful Wisconsin weather.
