Eau Claire Custom Home

We worked with this Eau Claire homeowner to create a modern farmhouse with emphasis on their needs: a playroom for the kids, music studio for the adults, and beautiful spaces for everyday life and entertaining!

The five-bedroom, three-bath home features an open concept floor plan including the kitchen, dining and great rooms. A covered porch leads into the foyer and the kitchen, perfect for easy access for outdoor grilling needs.

Ample windows allow lots of natural light in this Eau Claire custom home, including several windows in the basement. Dark kitchen cabinets and light-colored walls continue the farmhouse feel inside the home. The client wanted plenty of adjustable shelving for food storage, so we created a walk-in pantry with custom shelving to host plenty of chips, pretzels, and other game day food!) The master bedroom closet features hang bars and shelving in the same dark hue as the shelving elsewhere, creating stylish, cohesive storage throughout.

The silver-and-white laminate kitchen countertops have a marbled look and are an excellent choice for a family who enjoys cooking, baking, and entertaining. The durable, affordable material is stain- and moisture-resistant and ready for homemade noodle preparation and tailgating appetizer buffets. Plus, the luxurious finish elevates the home to the modern farmhouse style our clients loved.

We collaborated with the homeowner on creating a mudroom to house their laundry appliances and make sorting and folding a breeze. We installed many hooks and areas for storing shoes and coats to ensure every family member has designated places to stash gear year round.

Our skilled team built a large attached three-car garage and installed farmhouse red siding across the entire structure for a classic Wisconsin feel. The covered front entryway is a great spot to enjoy a morning coffee or wait for visiting loved ones to arrive while staying out of the sun or rain.

The great room mantle is a highlight of this Eau Claire custom home. The electric fireplace creates the ambiance and coziness of a wood fire without the need for wood or mess of soot and logs. The raised hearth has a wraparound masonry surround made with stacked narrow stones, adding the illusion of additional height. Plus, the large window and sliding glass door next to the fireplace draw your eyes to the beautiful pine trees just outside.

We highlighted more of the lovely forest by installing dark-stained trim around the doors and windows. This material matches with all storage shelves, interior doors, the kitchen cabinets, and the railing on the stairs to the fully finished basement.

The master bathroom hosts a large corner tub with jets and beautiful views of the expansive fields around the home. The room also features a shower with intricate tile work that is easy to clean and the perfect place for relaxing after a long day or even hosing off the hunting dogs. The homeowner wanted an additional vanity for a makeup tray and jewelry storage, and we made her dream come true.

The fully finished basement features multiple bedrooms and a large playroom. The carpeted space dampens noise while promoting safe landings, and has natural light from several windows and a zero-entry door. We didn’t want the stairs to this level to take away square footage, so our skilled team installed them where they don’t impede on the square footage for either floor.

We wanted to support this client’s love of music, so we worked with them to design a custom soundproof studio where they can rock out at all hours without affecting the rest of the home. Plus, the studio has stairs up to the garage so the homeowners can easily move instruments and gear in and out.

Our client wanted natural light in the garage, so we helped them select garage doors with windows that make it easy to see while inside. Plus, the unique doors add to the farmhouse style, along with the partial stone surrounds we strategically placed along several parts of the exterior of the home. These masonry highlights bring to mind the stone foundations of traditional farmhouses from Wisconsin’s past.
