These Mondovi homeowners approached us about adding a second story to the front of their home. The back half already had a second story, and they wanted to collaborate on expanding the space and remodeling the first-floor kitchen to be more efficient and modern.

Our skilled team removed the flat first-floor roof over the kitchen before creating a floor system and installing second-floor walls. We then tied the roofing together and re-roofed most of the house to remove worn areas and replace them with more durable, weather proof materials.

The homeowners were excited to make the kitchen more user-friendly with new flooring and cabinets. We installed a new kitchen ventilation system to remove smoke, steam, and odors from the cooking area. The marbled countertops and dark wood cabinets create a modern rustic feel, and the large window over the sink offers a great view of the pines outside.

We wanted these homeowners to spend their time enjoying their newly remodeled Mondovi home instead of worrying about energy costs. So, we replaced all the windows and siding to protect the home while preventing moisture issues and air leakage.

We installed a three-panel glass sliding patio door with windows next to it to let in plenty of natural light and fresh air during mild Wisconsin weather. Plus, the door makes it easy to go back and forth between the kitchen and the grill and seating area on the back deck.
